Resumo

No contexto do intrincado debate interdisciplinar que se coloca entre as Relações Internacionais e o Direito Internacional, o presente artigo explora a progressiva construção das fontes atualmente em vigor no direito internacional e as circunstâncias políticas de suas mutações ao longo da prática histórica dos Estados.
Dessa forma, examina-se em que medida essas fontes contribuíram e tiveram êxito nos esforços de gradual formalização técnica das relações internacionais.
