The present work is the result of observations and geoarchaeological reflections built during field research in Largo da Matriz, municipality of Marechal Deodoro, state of Alagoas, in the years 2017 and 2018. It is also based on the assumptions of Environmental Archeology for the interpretation of the different depositional, post-depositional and taphonomic processes that act in the archaeological record and also in the landscape configuration of the region focused on this work. The characterization on canvas aims to build geoenvironmental data for substantiation and interpretation of the material remains evidenced in loco.
