The representation of women is a topic that has been treated with more attention since the last century, in which important achievements are visualized, such as the right to vote, and the performance of women in different spheres of society. Obviously, these achievements are the fruit of persistence, and in science it is no different. In science, women were coadjuvants in publications, but this scenario has been changing and bringing female protagonism. This paper aims to analyze the participation of women in scientific productions in Archiving whose theme is Document Management. This is a bibliographical research that contributes to a brief look at the female participation in scientific articles with themes in Document Management, produced in the period from 1991 to 2020 in Brazil. From a survey conducted in the Reference Database of Articles of Periodicals in Information Science (BRAPCI), 163 scientific articles of female authorship were identified in the period between 1991 and 2020; a systematic review of literature was also made that contributes to answer the objectives of this research in a quantifiable or qualifiable way. From the total result analyzed, it can be seen that 72% of the publications were written by women (as authors or co-authors). It is also found, in the period from 2016 to 2020, a significant increase in women publishing, reaching 64 papers, 32 more compared to the period from 2011 to 2015. In short, it is expected that this work contributes to the female visibility in science and in Archivology.
