Abstract

It is not only within the archives, but also in the daily life of societies, that the events that give rise to the application of Archivology as an area of knowledge are present. By identifying these phenomena as they happen, archivists-researchers reflect, problematize, discuss and redefine them, favoring the construction of knowledge. Such processes, as well as their understanding by these specific actors, is only possible through their immersion in the academic environment where Archival Science is inserted. It is in this context, in celebration of the 16 years of the institutionalization of this science in Paraíba, that I will seek to report, in this work, individual memories that strengthen the desire to act for its expansion around the world and within the state.

Doutora em Linguística pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB). Mestra em Linguagem e Ensino pela Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG). Graduada em Letras pela Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Caruaru. Professora do curso de Arquivologia da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB).
