UMA LUTA INTERSECCIONAL

Abstract

This work is of bibliographic nature and literature review and aims to reflect on the social claims that are on the agenda of groups that were sometimes neglected by hegemonic discourses of society. The claims of these groups seek to give visibility to the struggles for the recognition of basic rights of women, black people, the working class, and other voices that are silenced by the totalitarianism of hegemonic discourses. We will seek to use studies by Stuart Hall, Homi Bhabha and Judith Butler, in order to question the alleged homogeneity and stability of the categories of culture, ethnicity and gender. Based on an understanding that these categories are not watertight, we will seek to question some prejudiced voices that are based on the homogeneous understanding of these categories. In addition, we will seek to present Angela Davis' thinking as a way to unify the claims of class, ethnicity and gender, as a way of giving more consistency to the struggle of those who are often excluded from the full exercise of citizenship.
