CONTRIBUTIONS OF CORDEL LITERATURE TO THE MEDIATION, CIRCULATION AND PRODUCTION OF INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE PROCESSE

Cordel Literature since its creation, in the Iberian Peninsula in the 15th century, is configured as an interdisciplinary communicative tool and acts as an information vehicle that contributes to the perpetuation of human knowledge. The purpose of this article is to highlight the contributions of cordel literature, as an interdisciplinary practice, in the processes of mediation, circulation and production of information and knowledge in undergraduate and graduate courses in the Cariri Cearense Region. As a methodology, knowledge from different areas that make up the curricular matrix of the Librarianship course was used, covering philosophical, methodological, historical and cultural subjects. Five strings were made, one of which was the “Cordel da Biblioteconomia Cantado”, music in two versions: a parody and an original creation. In the results, it is clear that the motivation for reading the content on the part of everyone who purchased the leaflet was satisfactory. There was empathy, interest and attention from teachers, students, and the audience present at the presentations. The information consulted in several sources was consolidated in the form of knowledge, easily reviewed and disseminated after the methodological application. it was proved that the cordel, as a vehicle of information, proved to be effective in the processes of creation, transmission, production and consolidation of knowledge in all means of circulation.
