O REALISMO DEFINITIVO

Este artigo argumenta em favor de um critério para separar realidade de ficção com base no emergentismo perspectivista. Discute os critérios propostos por Bas van Fraassen e por Willard van Orman Quine e a contribuição inovadora de Ronald Giere, cujo realismo perspectivista procura ser uma alternativa tanto ao realismo ingênuo como às diversas formas de construtivismo e de relativismo. O perspectivismo de Giere, a respeito de conceitos, modelos e teorias científicas, é estendido aqui a todos os objetos abstratos da cultura, o que resulta em um realismo mais robusto, embora ainda igualmente perspectivista.
