ETHICS OF ALTERITY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF LEONARDO BOFF

This article deals with some points of the ethical reflection proposed by Leonardo Boff according to his work Ethics and Moral: the search for the foundations. It takes as its starting point the contemporary crisis of values, in order to analyze the limits of this crisis and how the author proposes alternatives to overcome it. However, this paper does not seek to exhaust the ethical discussions of this author, but raises the fundamental points of a study on ethics, seeking to rescue, in its original sense, the possibility of pointing out, or even substantiating, a new contemporary ethical paradigm based on in the ideal of otherness.
