Agamben: a reflection on the exclusion that fabricates bare life in Western politics

The current paper has the main goal of discussing the exclusion of naked life in western politics, that is, to think how the Occident by characterizing human life (citizen, conscious and free) forges a life excluded from the political community. Thus, our conceptual exposure holds on to the work of the Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben, namely, Homo Sacer: Sovereign power and Bare life I (1995) which presents us this philosophical problem concerning the relation between politics and life. In the sense that as a political aspect or as the link between life and politics, zoê and bios, we can elucidate how bare life composes one of the foundations of a political constitution stem from an exclusion already present in the consolidation of the Greek polis.
