The Truth as Concordance of Knowledge with the Object:
a study on Kant

The aim of this paper is to show that the problem of truth is the same problem to which the transcendental deduction of the categories intends to answer, namely: how a priori concepts can be applied to objects that are given to us. To this end, we present the problem as previously formulated in the letter of February 21, 1772 to Marcus Herz. Then, by understanding what Kant, in the Prolegomena, calls “Hume's problem”, we show that the question receives a new formulation in §14 of the deduction of categories in the Critique of Pure Reason.
