AS NOVAS INJUNÇÕES DA GUERRA, DA BIOPOLÍTICA E DA SOBERANIA NA ATUAL RECEPÇÃO CRÍTICA DO PENSAMENTO FOUCAULTIANO

This paper examines the new injunctions of Michel Foucault’s political thought carried out by the current critical reception of the lectures given by the philosopher at the Collège de France during the 1970’s. In this sense, the paper intends to point out, briefly, the critical way in which Christian Laval and Pierre Dardot, Éric Alliez and Maurizio Lazzarato, and equally Bernard Harcourt, return to the themes of sovereignty, war, governmentality and biopower in Foucault’s works in order to delimit the new forms of political violence and neoliberal state management. The paper also locates the pioneering works of Giorgio Agamben and Achille Mbembe concerning an articulation between biopolitics and sovereignty exception. At the end, we seek to outline some general issues regarding this current critical reception of Foucault’s work.
