This article proposes an analysis of human finitude portrayed in the Swedish film The Seventh Seal, from 1957, by director Ingmar Bergman. The objective is to present the absurdity of the existence of human beings when faced with anguish and death. The present study will present the concept of finitude in the thought of Paul Tillich.
