Abstract

In this article, we discuss the phenomenon of the hermetically sealed as described by Kierkegaard in dialog with the observation of experience in phenomenological-existential psychological clinical listening. Aiming to create a text that makes up the experience of Kierkegaard’s approach to psychology, we are faced with the expression of man’s despair as the existential condition for freedom: in the face of and in freedom. Alongside Kierkegaard’s descriptions, we bring a dialog on involuntary and sudden communication of this phenomenon by outlining the signs of what was kept by the movement of saying no to freedom in observing the possibility of: a closed content. In this probing, we see, from the perspective of freedom, the muteness of the hermetic and describe the movement of closure and the condition of listening that accompanies the possibility of awakening the constitutive opening of the human being: in the margins of clinical listening. We conclude that clinical help which listens to the communication of the hermetically sealed occurs in approximation and construction of an atmosphere of patience, suspension of any normative identification, and indirect glimpses based on the school of possibility: the difference in freedom, the continuity of the movement of being the relationship to the human condition of being itself.
