Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, justify in "Comments to the Editor".
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors, in the About the Journal section.

  • The identification of authorship of this work was removed from the file and from the Properties option in Word, thus ensuring the confidentiality criterion of the journal, if submitted for peer review (eg articles), according to the instructions available in Ensuring Blind Peer Review .
  • The files for submission are in Microsoft Word or OpenOffice format.

  • All web page addresses (URLs) included in the text are active and ready to click.

Author Guidelines

Texts must have the following formatting:

ARTICLES

Contain a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 25 pages, including references, illustrations, tables, tables and graphs, typed in A4 format in Word file, Arial or Georgia font, size 12, 1.5 spacing.

Include title, abstract (between 100-200 words, with theme, objective, method and conclusion) and keywords, with translation into Spanish or English (including the title).

Authors should not be identified in any part of the text of the submitted article. To guarantee anonymity and impartiality in the evaluation of texts, identification should only be carried out in the final version, after approval.

In the version of the article approved for publication, just below the name of the authors of the work, add title, academic affiliation, ORCID and email.

Illustrations: graphs, tables, drawings, maps, etc. they must be numbered and titled as close as possible to the element to which they refer, indicating their source below. All tables and figures that present texts must be sent in Portuguese in the body of the text. If the author(s) choose the translation, they must send the tables and figures in English. Do not use bold in the title or font of illustrations.

Article sections must not be numbered.

Short quotations (up to three lines) are incorporated into the text, transcribed between quotation marks, with indications of the sources from which they were taken.

Long quotes are transcribed in block with simple spacing and indented 4 cm from the left margin, with a letter smaller than the text (size 10), and without quotation marks, indicating the sources from which they were taken. Example: (Prado, 2007, p. 23).

Only authors and works cited in the text are included in the References, according to the updated ABNT norms. Leave the title of the works in italics, without bold. Ex. :

MEDVIÉDEV, P. N. The formal method in literary studies: a critical introduction to a sociological poetics. Translation by Sheila Grillo and Ekaterina Volkova Américo. São Paulo: Context, 2012.

Annexes and/or appendices will be included only when essential for understanding the text.

REVIEWS

Reviews with at least five pages, including the cover of the reviewed publication.

They must be typed in Word for Windows (doc), Arial or Georgia font, size 12, spacing 1.5.;

They must identify the book reviewed on the first page: presentation of the references of the reviewed work, according to the updated ABNT.

DOSSIERS

The dossiers must contain articles on current topics that contribute to the epistemological and political debate in the area, and must be coordinated by a professional or professionals of recognized competence on the theme proposed for the section, which must be submitted for consideration by the dossier editors and also for editorial coordination.
