New publishing model

Since 2022, the journal Discursividades adopts the continuous flow publication model. Our periodicity of editions will continue every six months.

Publishing in Ahead of Print is already a trend for most Brazilian and international journals. This publication model aims, above all, to accelerate the communication process of research and thus contribute to its availability for reading and citation. Innovative in the field of scientific dissemination, the possibility of continuous publication of articles without the need to wait for the complete composition of the issues or serial editions promotes speed in the communication process and availability of research with numerous advantages for users of scientific information: researchers, authors, students, readers and editors.

In practice, this system consists of publishing articles as soon as they have been evaluated and approved by the referees, it is not necessary to wait for the journal to launch an issue before having the article published. The continuous publication, as it is exclusively an electronic publication, no longer has the sequential pagination of the articles, so the electronic identifier information (elocation-id) becomes the unique identifier within the number.
