About the Journal

Focus and scope

Discursividades is a biannual electronic journal associated to the Department of Letters and Arts at UEPB. The journal is intended for the dissemination and discussion of works and research in the field of language and its articulation with historical and social practices. Considering the constitutive role of language in society, Discursividades will give rise, above all, to research whose investigated themes are permeated by the studies of Discourse, Languages/Languages and their teaching. Thus, the journal houses productions dedicated to understanding the functioning of language in the various symbolic objects in society. Its objective is the dissemination of unpublished works, of a theoretical or applied nature, in the aforementioned lines. It publishes contributions from collaborators from Brazil and abroad that are written in Portuguese, Spanish, English or French. At least one of the authors of the work must have the title of Doctor or Master.

The journal Discursividades receives submission of articles in a continuous flow system.

No fees are charged to authors for the submission or publication of works.

Call for issue 17

The Discursividades journal has just completed volume 16 (online since July 2024). At the same time, volume 17 is already online.

Proposals for the publication of articles and reviews for this issue must be submitted by 4/30/2025 (the issue closes on 6/30/25).

Contributions must be submitted through the system at https://revista.uepb.edu.br/REDISC/about/submissions

We would like to remind you that we have adopted a continuous publication system: the works are published throughout the semester, as the evaluation and editing processes are completed.

The issue is free-to-theme, as long as the scope of the journal is observed.
