Abstract

The present work is an excerpt from the text by Manuel Antônio de Castro, the author graduated in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1966). He holds a postdoctoral degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1997). He is currently a professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. The Poetic Happening is a work published by the author in 1982, and aims to reflect on literary history.

Mestrando em Estudos Literários - Programa de Pós Graduação em Letras (PPGL) da Universidade Federal do Pará. Graduado em Letras-Língua Inglesa pela Universidade Federal do Pará. Colaborador voluntário (PIVIC) do projeto de pesquisa intitulado comunidades de Resistência em Narrativas Anglófonas Contemporâneas (CRENAC).
